Artist's Description
Built in 1840, The Bricks served as homes for the mill workers along Vickery Creek in Roswell, Georgia. They have now been converted into what the developers call "much more gracious living spaces." This photo is from 1974.
About John Simmons
John Simmons has photographed the southeastern US for decades. He specializes in large format photography using cameras such as Speed Graphics and Sinars. Nikon cameras capture his digital images. He studied music at Georgia State University and Berklee and currently plays trombone, bass trombone, and tuba with the Coastal Brass Choir, the St. Simons Presbyterian Church Chancel Wind Ensemble, the Chamber Orchestra, and the Golden Isles Community Band.
