The Old Casino, built in the 1930s, still serves people as a place to relax with a peaceful view of St. Simons Sound. It houses the island's public library, a 100-seat theater, and a bandstand. Why "Old" Casino. Because a newer one was built beside it, but it developed a roof crack in the 2000s and was torn down.
