Pat “Gadget” Gainer developed PC-TEA as a simple to make alternative to Kodak’s X-tol. It’s a one solution, one shot developer. Some folks found it prone to fog, so they experimented with adding Potassium Bromide. Here’s the version I use.
|Triethanolomine heated to about 180F||200 ml|
|Ascorbic Acid||45 g|
|Potassium Bromide||1 g|
|Triethanolomine to make||500 ml|
Gainer said to use it 1:50 with water. Sandy King recommend 1:100 with development times of about 10 minutes with rotary agitation at 72F.
